Ordinal OS (“Ordinal”) helps service businesses run their business. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

  • Your account details: email address, name and phone number.
  • Your business record: your profile, services, clients, proposals, contracts, invoices, payments, buckets, SOPs and reports.
  • Bank statements you upload and the transactions read from them.
  • Payment records for your subscription and Chips. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach us.
  • Technical records: sign-in times, IP address and device type, used for security.

Why we use it

  • To run the features you use: pricing, documents, reminders, books, the allocator, the Readiness Score and Statement Credibility.
  • To send the emails you ask us to send to your clients, and service emails to you (sign-in codes, receipts, alerts).
  • To keep your account secure and prevent abuse.

Who processes it for us

  • A payment processor, for subscriptions and Chip top-ups.
  • An AI provider, which reads the text or files you send to an AI feature (for example a statement or a brief) to produce the result. It is a paid service that does not train its models on your data.
  • Our own email server, for sign-in codes, receipts and the emails you send to clients.
  • Our own servers, where your data is stored. Bank statements are encrypted at rest.

What we never do

  • We don’t sell your data.
  • We don’t share your business record with lenders, partners or anyone else without your explicit permission each time.

Your rights

  • Download all your data at any time from Account.
  • Delete an uploaded statement file and keep the transactions, or delete the statement entirely.
  • Delete your account and all your data from Account.
  • Ask us to correct anything, or ask what we hold, at support@ordinalos.com.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your business record and files are deleted. Encrypted backups are kept for 14 days and then removed.
